As a painter and printmaker, my current endeavour of large-scale, body-sized paintings relies on the process of pouring, soaking and staining the canvas, creating abstract forms that interrelate and communicate. They investigate binary oppositions, the thresholds between paint and surface, form and fluidity and the autonomy of painting. I work in series, developing a pictorial language specific to process and materiality. My practise is fed from a multitude of preliminary work; producing small scale paintings, pastels, photography and Photoshop and prints.
